Electric Guitar
Electric Guitar
This guitar body and neck were designed and built from scratch. The body is modeled after a modified vintage telecaster, and features vintage Fender hardware. The guitar is also designed to maximize comfort and playability for the user, and incorporates design choices like the curve on the bottom for resting the guitar during tuning or adjustments.

The body is made from found California Ash Burl and epoxy resin. I experimented with unconventional fabrication methods, such as laser cutting the fretboard and CNC Machining the electronics cavities.

Unlike a traditional guitar there is no pickguard, the inlays are resin, and all cavities are back-routed so as not to obstruct the face of the body. The neck is built from walnut, with a rosewood and epoxy fretboard.

Overall, construction and design of the guitar took over 100 hours. I consulted with guitar designers, who provided me guidance to the balance guitars need to have for aesthetic design and acoustic functionality
